Program Information

Nursing (AS)  – 74 credits

The Nursing Program is a five (5) semester program that focuses on the general education and beginning technical skills necessary for providing and managing patient care and participating in the profession of nursing.  Upon graduation, with an Associate of Science in Nursing (AS), the student is eligible to take the National Council Licensing Exam (NCLEX-RN) to become a registered nurse.  Any person who has been convicted of a felony may not be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN.  Information regarding eligibility can be obtained by contacting the Florida Board of Nursing (www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa/nursing). The Program is committed to providing educational and clinical experiences leading to employment in beginning positions as a registered nurse in hospitals or comparable agencies.
