Bethesda College of Health Sciences Celebrates Class of 2017 Nursing and Radiography Students

(Boynton Beach, FL--) Donning their graduation caps and gowns, 21 nursing and radiography students crossed the stage at the Bethesda College of Health Sciences’ graduation ceremony on June 23, 2017 at Bethesda Hospital East in Boynton Beach. Family, friends, college faculty and Bethesda Health staff were in attendance to celebrate this momentous occasion. The graduates received words of encouragement to help them as they pursue their careers.

“Graduates, you are standing at the threshold of fulfilling careers,” said Amanda Murphy, RN, MSN, Dean of the Bethesda College of Health Sciences. “This commencement marks the beginning of a life as a professional nurse or radiographer where you will have the opportunity to learn and grow if you keep an open and inquiring mind.”

Interesting facts about the Bethesda College of Health Sciences’ Class of 2017:
  • Two males and 19 females ranging in age from 23 to 33, with an average age of 26.
  • Five students reside in Boynton Beach, two in West Palm Beach, six in Lake Worth, one in Greenacres, three in Delray Beach, two in Lantana, one in Jupiter, one in Riviera Beach
  • One student came into the program with a Master’s degree, five with a Bachelor’s degree and nine with an Associate degree
  • Three students are a registered pharmacy technician, one is a rehabilitation tech, one is a certified nursing assistant, one is an EMT, and one is a HUC
  • Two students were Bethesda Health employees, one was a child of a Bethesda Employee, and two students worked as a nurse intern during their student tenure.
